Multi-task with Lip Balm

I'm cheap. If there's a way I can multi-task, I will. Without further ado...prepare to be mesmerized.

Lip balm is a great item to have in your make-up bag. Yes it's for your lips, however the ingredients in lip balm are gentle and safe so it can be a great multitasker!

For the tips below, it's always best to use a soft scented lip balm (avoid mint scents or flavors)

Prevent windburn

You love to ski, but you hate wearing a ski mask. Next time you go snow skiing, try rubbing lip balm,  on your face before you hit the slopes. The lip balm will protect your skin from windburn.

Remove a stuck ring

No need to pull and tug on your poor beleaguered finger to try to remove that stuck ring. Simply coat the finger with lip balm and gently wriggle the ring loose.

Groom wild eyebrows

Use lip balm as a styling wax to groom unruly mustaches, eyebrows, or other wild hairs.

Zap bleeding from shaving cuts

Ouch! You just cut yourself shaving and you’ve no time to spare. Just dab a bit of lip balm directly onto the nick and the bleeding from most shaving cuts will quickly stop. (Only do this with minor cuts).

Exfoliate dry & flaky lips

Your lips are dry and flaky? No problem! Turn your lip balm into a lip scrub. Simply apply a thick layer of lip balm onto your lips. Then coat your lips with sugar and gently scrub off the dead skin. Your lips will be soft and smooth.

Enhance your eyeshadow

Loose mineral eye shadows & powder eyeshadow can sometimes loose their staying power. In a pinch you can turn your balm into an eyeshadow primer and give those pigments something to stick to. Simply apply a small thin layer evenly onto your lids and watch your colors pop!

Rough cuticles

Have rough cuticles? No problem! Simply massage some lip balm onto them. They will look better in no time!

I scrape a bit off the top and gently apply it on top of freshly painted nails. It helps dry them a lot faster.

Nellie - Now that's a cool tip! The next time I paint my nails, I'm going to try it!

I hoard lip balm. Really. I have a tube in my work desk, night stand, make up drawer & make up bag and if you look into the bathroom closet you will find roughly 75 tubes in every flavor - ranging from cherry to red raspberry sorbet to chocolate sundae. Really, it is a slight problem.
